Desert Boots- If you only buy one pair of shoes for the rest of the year, make it this one

If you are looking for a boot that will not only serve their main function but be stylish all at the same time consider the Desert Book made by Clarks. Prices starting on Amazon for $40 they certainly are an affordable addition to your shoe collection.

In 1941, Clark was just an infantry man in the British Army stationed in Burma. He was on the lookout for new shoe designs for his family's company, however, and he noticed these unique types of boots worn by fellow soldiers in his company: chukka-style, soft rubber crepe sole, and boots made out of suede.
Clark traced these boots back to Cairo cobblers working for commission with the South African army. The boots suited their needs for something lightweight, but they were still able to grip the shifting sands they encountered.
Clark brought this design back to England with him, and by 1949 the newly christened "desert boot" made its debut at the Chicago Shoe Fair. It had a broad appeal because it was somewhere in the middle of dressy and casual — a new concept for that time.
Popularity has waxed and waned in the decades since, but the boot is now enjoying a new wave of popularity as men are looking to dress a little nicer than they have in previous decades.

Tom Brady 4 Game Suspension Reinstated

According to ESPN at 2:19 on Monday 25th "A federal appeals court has ruled that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady must serve a four-game Deflategate suspension imposed by the NFL, overturning a lower judge and siding with the league in a battle with the NFL Players Association."

In a 2-1 decision by a three-judge panel in New York it is stated "We hold that the Commissioner properly exercised his broad discretion under the collective bargaining agreement and that his procedural rulings were properly grounded in that agreement and did not deprive Brady of fundamental fairness,".

It is no surprise that the commissioner of the league, Roger Goodell is pleased with this decision. But Patriots fans certainly will not be happy seeing their long time hero on the bench. While the Patriots organization has not yet made a statement we are certain that it will not be one supporting the ruling. Apparently there is only one way to stop the Greatest of All Time. Being a Boston based blog... you can predict what my response is to the ruling....

The Future is here... and it came on 4 Wheels

Let me start off by saying  this. There is nothing that will compare to summer driving ... sunroof or top down and hand on the stick shift. Because if you aren't driving manual you really aren't driving... are you? Anyone that says manual transmissions are a thing of the past are saying that because they were never taught to drive a stick. You never have learned how to handle the car at full control. But I digress. There are some advancements in technology and the automotive world that are truly amazing. While I think that for now I would like to keep those 4 tires burning rubber into the pavement... you never know... I might just want to try and get myself a flying car someday. Below are four links to some amazing new advancements in the automotive world.

This link features an ATV that converts to a jet-ski. Truly a must have for all of you 007 fans out there.

Here we have a car that has a built in scooter. For those of us who feel like legs are just overrated.

The link below gives proof that robots will soon control the roadways too.

The ultimate experience is the Terrafugia "Flying Car" that may just bring movies like Back to the Future to reality. Check out the link below!

Tis the season... Grilling Season

Spring is upon us and summer is just around the corner. That means its grilling season! Besides a beer can there isn’t much that comes between a man and his grill. Well today we have both for you.... the perfect grill and the perfect recipe for the grill this season...

·         38,000-BTU gas grill with 637-square-inch cooking/warming space
·         Front-mounted control panel; 3 stainless-steel burners; individual electronic ignition system
·         Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates; Flavorizer bars; heat deflectors
·         Enclosed cart; built-in thermometer; 6 tool hooks; requires an LP tank (not included)
·         Measures 30 inches long by 60 inches wide by 64-1/2 inches high; 5-year limited warranty

Ingredients
•             1/3 cup brown sugar
•             2 tablespoons chili powder
•             2 tablespoons paprika
•             2 teaspoons dry mustard
•             1/2 teaspoon salt
•             1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
•             1/2 (12 fluid ounce) can beer
•             1 (3 pound) whole chicken

Directions
Prep Time 15 m
Cook in 1 h 15 m
  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, about 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Mix the brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, dry mustard, salt, and ground black pepper in a small bowl. Place the half-full can of beer in the center of a plate.
  2. Rinse chicken under cold running water. Discard giblets and neck from chicken; drain and pat dry. Fit whole chicken over the can of beer with the legs on the bottom; keep upright. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of the seasoning mix into the top cavity of the chicken. The beer may foam up when the seasonings fall inside the can. Rub the remaining seasoning mix over the entire surface of the chicken.
  3. Place the chicken, standing on the can, directly on the preheated grill. Close the lid and barbecue the chicken until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 1 hour 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone should read 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). Remove the chicken from the grill and discard the beer can. Cover the chicken with a doubled sheet of aluminum foil, and allow to rest in a warm area for 10 minutes before slicing.

Boston Bruins Playoff Chances

Well here it is... the Boston Bruins are not dead yet. With the final weekend of hockey in the regular season approaching the Bruins have 93 points and are tied with the Red Wings for third place in the Atlantic Division. The Bruins need to defeat the Senators on Saturday and hope that either Philadelphia or Detroit takes a loss. If all the cards fall into place the Bruins will qualify for the postseason. However, if the Philadelphia Flyers and the Detroit Red Wings win all of their remaining games the Bruins are out. Meaning that the Bruins The Bruins could finish with 43 wins, while the Red Wings could end with 42 and the Flyers with 41 and Boston could still miss the playoffs. In any event, it should be an exciting weekend for hockey.

Perfect Solution to the Summer Heat in Your Cubical

With summer heat quickly approaching many of us will be working those summer hours in our home away from home: our cubical. It can often be challenging to keep everyone comfortable with the temperature. For some reason or another when it hits 80 or even 90 degrees outside there is instant panic in the office and people turn the AC on to 68-73 degrees. A temperature that may have seemed way to cold during those winter months. For all of you who are interested in controlling your own cubical temperature I recommend the World's first personal air conditioner "Evapolar" retail value of $250 by now here for $179.

  • Evapolar is a desktop personal air conditioner that not only chills, but also humidifies and purifies air.
  • Your personal climate created by Evapolar is healthy for your skin and hair.
  • Thanks to its portability, Evapolar makes you feel comfortable exactly when you need it and where you need it.
  • In order to make Evapolar both small and powerful we had to develop a special evaporative nanomaterial that was previously a part of Russian military tech.
  • Evapolar emulates a soft natural chilling process instead of just producing a cold air thread like the other air conditioners (that often leads to catching a cold).
  • Evapolar is absolutely eco-friendly and 12 times more energy efficient than traditional split systems.
  • It is very easy to use and ready to work right out of the box
